Bitget Wallet has announced the launch of Assetback, a new feature designed for eligible Bitget Wallet Card users that allows qualifying card-related benefits to be received in selected supported digital and tokenized assets instead of traditional cashback.
The feature is scheduled to become available from August 1, 2026, subject to regional availability, eligibility requirements, applicable regulations, and the program's official terms.
What Is Assetback?
Assetback enables eligible users to choose, in advance, the supported asset in which qualifying card-related allocations will be received.
Unlike conventional reward systems that typically offer cash or loyalty points, the program expands available options by supporting selected digital and tokenized assets.
According to Bitget Wallet, no additional selection is required during checkout once a preferred supported asset has been chosen.
Supported Assets
Depending on market availability and regulatory requirements, supported assets may include:
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Tokenized gold through XAUT
- Stablecoins
- Selected tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs through xStocks
Supported tokenized products may include assets linked to:
- NVIDIA
- Tesla
- Alphabet
- S&P 500-related products
Availability may vary by country and jurisdiction.
Bitget Wallet Card Availability
The Bitget Wallet Card is currently available across more than 50 markets and can be used at participating merchants through the Visa and Mastercard payment networks.
The card forms part of Bitget Wallet's broader digital payment ecosystem.
Company Statement
Commenting on the launch, Alvin Kan, Chief Operating Officer of Bitget Wallet, said traditional card programs have generally distributed rewards in the form of cashback or loyalty points because infrastructure for distributing other asset types was previously limited.
He noted that advances in payment technology and tokenization infrastructure have enabled qualifying benefits to be allocated in supported digital and tokenized assets, providing eligible users with additional flexibility.
Bitget Wallet Ecosystem
Bitget Wallet states that it serves more than 100 million users worldwide through a self-custodial payment platform that combines:
- Card payments
- QR code payments
- Bank transfers
- In-app marketplace services
The ecosystem operates through the company's Onchain Payments Matrix, which connects blockchain networks, liquidity providers, banks, card networks, merchants, and stablecoin issuers within a unified payment infrastructure.
Launch Timeline
According to the company, Assetback is expected to become available starting August 1, 2026.
Users are encouraged to review eligibility requirements, supported assets, regional availability, and official program terms through Bitget Wallet's official channels before participating.
Conclusion
The introduction of Assetback reflects the continued evolution of digital payment systems by offering eligible users additional choices regarding how qualifying card-related benefits are received.
As tokenization technology continues to develop, similar payment innovations may expand across the broader financial technology sector in the coming years.
