Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that May 10 will be observed annually as "Marka-e-Haq Day" to commemorate Pakistan's response to last year's conflict involving Indian aggression.
The announcement was made during a ceremony at the Pakistan Monument, marking the first anniversary of Marka-e-Hag and Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. The Prime Minister stated that Pakistan showed restraint but responded strongly when required, praising the armed forces and military leadership for their role in the situation. He also acknowledged diplomatic support from friendly countries and reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to peace, regional stability, and national security.
